Laura Vanduzer

I’m Laura. I sing, play piano and guitar, and write music. If you asked me to describe the genre of music I write, I’d say piano pop along the lines of Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, or Eric Hutchinson, but I like to think that all of my musical loves make an appearance: 70’s folk, 2000’s hip-hop and R&B, 90’s grunge… some musical theatre influence definitely sneaks in there, too. You can take the girl out of the musical… but apparently she still wants to be Jason Robert Brown sometimes. I am constantly, overwhelmingly grateful that I get to make music with some of the coolest people at some of the coolest venues. I believe the world desperately needs original voices, whether you paint, write, design, sculpt, or sing. Even if you’re scared to do it. I’m scared to do it. You and I will hold one another accountable.
